There are three main types of commercial insurance, which are property, liability, and workers compensation. All three of these insurances are normally grouped together as commercial insurance, since it is imperative that a company operate with these insurances in force.
The property insurance part of commercial insurance in pertaining to the property overall, or the building that you choose to operate out of. This particular insurance protects the building that you operate out of and all the property that belongs to the business. If someone were to neglect anything that belongs to your business you have the right to file a claim.
Liability insurance can often times be a conflicting subject to business owners and civilians alike. The liability insurance holds the business owner liable for everything that can go wrong. If someone were to get injured from a product you produce, you are liable to cover that person for their injuries. The same thing goes for any vehicles that you may have as well. If they are involved in an accident you are liable for the other persons damages.
However, workers compensation could be your best friend. A lot better then liability insurance which makes you at fault for everything that could have gone wrong. With workers compensation, you vow to pay for an employee that has been injured while on your job. You will submit payment for any hospital bills that pertain to this injury as well as provide severance pay while the person is recuperating from their condition.
It is imperative that every operating business have these three forms of commercial insurance. Without these forms, you are not a fully operational business, and you leave yourself open to problems that may arise. It is important to ensure that you are safe from any problems and your workers are safe as well. Insurance is a great thing to have; it benefits all parties in an arrangement.
